Recently my blogging buddies from Atlanta Food Bloggers’ Society and I were invited to enjoy brunch at Village Tavern Alpharetta

I’m so glad that Village Tavern is located not far from where I live and I was allowed to bring a guest. This brunch was the perfect afternoon date for my husband and me.

Village Tavern is a large restaurant filled with dark wood and stone. A seat by the fireplace is a fantastic place to have a meal. While it’s a large restaurant it manages to feel warn and cozy.

The wine selection at Village Tavern is extensive but what impressed me most is the temperature controlled storage for reserve wine. Temperatures within a building can fluctuate a great deal so Village Tavern goes the extra mile to ensure that these wines are kept at a consistent 60 degrees.

I do love a wood fired oven!

The brunch menu at Village Tavern is long to put it mildly. There are so many choices you may have a hard time deciding. We shared so many dishes yet we didn’t even scratch the surface. Check out Village Tavern’s menu online for more choices.

Hot Crab Dip with garlic toast was my appetizer of choice and it was more than enough to feed a crowd. Village Tavern does not skimp on the portion sizes.

The French Toast here is HUGE! My husband ordered it with cinnamon apples bu you can also get it with fresh blueberries or strawberries.

He also ordered these Grilled Thai Chicken Skewers from the appetizer section of the menu. There is certainly enough to share, this would make a perfect entree as well. We brought much of it home for our hungry teens.

There was a large group of us and I don’t remember who ordered these gorgeous bacon wrapped scallops with teriyaki glaze. My goodness they look delicious, I’m going to try them on my next visit. I’m so glad that I live less than 15 minutes away!

For my brunch entree I decided on Village Tavern’s Crab Cake Benedict. I was VERY happy with my choice, the Maryland-style crab cakes were full of crab and not fillers. DELICIOUS!

Spring rolls filled with grilled chicken and Napa cabbage are on the menu for brunch

Mexican-style grilled corn with cotija cheese was my husband’s favorite bite of the day. The menu has something for everyone, I’ve barely scratched the surface.

This place looks good for a date night or a business lunch. Those chicken skewers look good, I would definitely try that

You’re definitely spot on about their brunch menu; TONS to choose from! I stuck to a seafood theme for the day (unusual for me!) and wasn’t disappointed at all. Next time I dine here I think I’ll be trying the spring rolls and Thai chicken skewers. They looked delicious! Or, I may have to dive into their Maryland-style crab cakes too. Or, I may just try them all! LOL

There are so many things on the menu, it will take a few visits to taste all of the delicious things Village Tavern has to offer. I definitely want to try the bacon wrapped and glazed scallops. I’ve been thinking about them since I left the restaurant.
