Marinate some chicken in this sweet and tangy teriyaki sauce then pop it into a Ninja Foodi (combination air fryer, pressure, slow cooker and more) for a delicious chicken dinner

I used chicken drumsticks for my air fried teriyaki chicken however chicken wings and chicken thighs would be delicious with this as well.

My teriyaki chicken marinade is made with brown sugar, honey, red pepper flakes, soy sauce, garlic, and fresh ginger. I also add some rice wine vinegar to give this sauce a bit of acidic balance

Ingredients
  • 5 chicken drumsticks
  • ¼ cup of soy sauce
  • ¼ cup of honey
  • ¼ cup of brown sugar
  • ¼ cup of rice wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves of garlic smashed
  • a 1 inch piece of fresh ginger, grated
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, add to taste)
  • 2 cups of water
Instructions
  1. Place the chicken drumsticks in a zip top bag
  2. Add th3e soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice wine vinegar, garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes to the zip top bag
  3. Squeeze the air out of the bag and seal it. Massage the marinade into the chicken
  4. Chill the chicken for 2-8 hours
  5. Drain the marinade from the chicken
  6. Add the chicken to the air fryer basket
  7. Set the temperature to 400 degrees and cook for 18 to 20 minutes
