pork steaks

salt

lemon pepper
1/2

garlic powder

Wondra flour or all purpose flour

tablespoon
of canola or vegetable oil
1
chopped onion
2
cloves
garlic
chopped
2
bay leaves
2
fresh thyme sprigs
3
cups
chicken broth
Serve with grits or rice
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees
Season pork steaks with salt, lemon pepper and garlic powder
heat the oil in a Dutch oven and brown the pork in batches
Drain the oil and saute the onion until translucent
Stir in the chopped garlic, bay leaves and thyme
Add the pork back to the pot and add the chicken broth
Cover and cook in the oven at 325 degrees for 1 hour
Remove the cover and let cook for 30 minutes more
Spoon away any excess oil and serve
