Apple and Soy Grilled Pork Chops

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves-smashed
  • red pepper flakes -to taste
  • 4 center cut pork chops ½ -3/4 inches thick

Instructions
 

  • Mix soy sauce, apple sauce, honey, ginger, garlic and red pepper flakes in a plastic zip top bag
  • Add the pork chops and coat them with the marinade
  • Refrigerate1 hour up to 24 hours.
  • Let the pork chops sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before grilling
  • Drain the marinade, oil your grill grates and grill over hot coals until internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 140 degrees, about 4-6 minutes per side.
  • Let the meat rest for 3 minutes tented with aluminum foil, the internal temperature should reach 145 degrees while the meat is resting
