BECAUSE I’M OBSESSED
I was not an early adopter of Scandal. In fact I missed the entire first season and had to watch it on Netflix. I finished the last episode of season about 45 minutes before the season 2 premiere. I started watching because I felt left out on Thursday nights. Both my Facebook and Twitter feeds were taken over by Scandal. So, I gave in to my curiosity and watched one episode and then binge watched the first season.
So, now I’m obsessed with it. so much so that I created a cocktail in honor of it. Here it is
OLITZ SMASH
2 slices of apple -In honor of Vermont (It’s the state fruit)
2 ounces of Scotch – For Fitz
3 ounces of Red Wine- For Olivia
3 dashes of Bitters- For Mellie
ice
Smash the apple slices in the bottom of a mixing cup. Add all the rest of the ingredients and stir. Strain into your glass of choice and enjoy with popcorn.
Here’s all you need to make the Olitz Smash. Red wine, I like a fruity red blend. Scotch, an apple and bitters. I like Fee Brothers bitters, it reminds me of red hots for some reason, it’s very cinnamony.
