City Winery Atlanta Weekend Brunch. Thanks so much to City Winery Atlanta for hosting this fantastic brunch.
City Winery Atlanta Brunch hours Saturday and Sunday 11 am to 3 pm.
Atlanta blogger Daphne Channel of Mushy Mamma invited me to join her and a fantastic group of local bloggers for a complimentary brunch at City Winery Atlanta, all opinions are my own. THANKS DAPHNE!
City Winery Atlanta is a fully functioning winery located in the Ponce City Market development on Atlanta’s Belt Line. City Winery is housed across the parking lot from the main Ponce City Market Building (be sure to pay for parking at one of the pay stations in the parking lot, they can be easily overlooked). Head up the stairs, or take the elevator, to the main entrance to this restaurant, winery, live music venue and be prepared to have a great time.
WINE ON TAP!
The multi-level space has a large dining room, private dining, bar and patio area upstairs. The concert venue (pictured below), grape processing, more private dining and speak easy are located downstairs.
STEAL THIS IDEA- table markers made out of wine bottles would be fantastic for a wine country wedding or any party, really
For entrance into the speak easy (pictured below) be sure to stalk City Winery’s social media for clues to the password. Here are links to them on TWITTER AND FACEBOOK
Brunch at City Winery Atlanta is served Saturday and Sunday 11 am to 3 pm with traditional Southern offerings like Buttermilk Fried Chicken Breasts and Shrimp and Grits. You will also find dishes like steak and eggs, breakfast burritos, hot cakes and burgers. Mimosas and limosas (Prosecco, limoncello and orange juice) are not bottomless but they are delicious. The “CW’s Bloody Mary” comes topped with a bacon wrapped shrimp and is a real show stopper.
I ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Breast served with asparagus, rosemary gravy and pimento mac and cheese. The chicken breast is sliced, breaded with panko and fried to crispy goodness. The pimento mac and cheese is creamy and delicious, with just the right amount of pimento flavor.
I enjoyed my meal but I must admit I was a bit jealous of my friend who ordered the shrimp and grits. She raved about how delicious her meal was. A self professed “grits snob” she was quite taken with the smoked gouda grits in her dish. I’ll definitely order that on my next visit to City Winery Atlanta.
I also hope to return to City Winery Atlanta to check out their concert venue in action. I’ll let you know all about that when it happens. Until then be sure to check out City Winery Atlanta Weekend Brunch, I think you’ll like it.
