Tin Can Fish House Sweet Savant

We started off the evening with a selection of delicious, fresh oysters. This was a great opportunity to find some new favorites. Served with saltines and mignnoette ( a sauce made of vinegar, pepper and shallots) these beauties went down easy.

Tin Can Fish House Brookhaven is a small venue giving it a neighborhood feel in the middle of the huge Town Brookhaven community. It’s a great spot to stroll to after catching a movie.

We followed the raw oysters with a couple types of baked oysters. Some with spicy jalapeno and some with garlic and Parmesan cheese all topped with crispy, breadcrumbs. Garlic and Parmesan was my favorite combination. the Parmesan went surprisingly well with the oysters.

Cesar salad is served wedge style with creamy, garlicky dressing and topped with croutons.

….and then came the lobster roll. It was a perfect bite of creamy, buttery goodness. This was my favorite bite of the night. Lots of lobster and not too much else, just the way a lobster roll should be. The lobster was cooked perfectly, just tender and delicious. The bread (by H&F bread co)  is just a tad sweet and soft and fluffy…in other words HEAVEN!

Bruschetta comes in a few different forms. We tried tasty grilled bread topped with tuna tartar and avocado and another sample with dill cream and hot smoked salmon. Both were tasty but I’m really craving the smoke salmon topped one right now.

Since dinner isn’t complete without dessert we tried slices of chocolate cake and key lime pie. Both very tasty so I ordered a couple of slices to go so I could bring them home to the kids.

I hope to get back soon to try a few things I didn’t have like the muscles dish and their crispy calamari. Thanks so much to Tin Can Fish and Oyster House for this delicious complimentary meal. All opinions are my own.
