Roswell’s best restaurant, Foundation Social Eatery, has recently started Sunday Brunch service. I’ve been a huge fan of Foundation since it opened a few short years ago, (check out my first look at Foundation HERE)

I ran into Foundation’s Chef/Owner Mel Toledo while he was doing a demo at the Roswell Farmers and Artisans Market and chatted with him about what to expect from brunch, there’s a clip of the interview below but the take away for me was BUTTER POACHED LOBSTER ROLLS.

Once I heard “lobster rolls” it was a wrap, I knew I had to have one…but  here’s the catch, the supply was going to be limited- only 12 all day! I made a reservation for Sunday at noon, the earliest I could possibly make.

SUCCESS! I got my butter poached lobster roll and I was a happy girl. The only issue with making an early reservation is that darn “No alcohol before 12:30 pm on Sunday” rule that Georgia has. (more about that HERE) No bottomless Mimosas that day, we were nearly done by the time booze service started. It’s a good thing I got there early, the lobster rolls sold out in less than 45 minutes.

My husband ordered a burger (you may already know how I feel about that)  with Parmesan fries. While he was happy with his meal I was hoping he would order the braised short rib hash so I could have some. Oh well, I’ll get that next time…and there will be a next time.

I was too full for dessert, but if I wasn’t I would have ordered the Vanilla Pot de Creme with Braised Cherries and Shortbread Crumble. Here’s a shot of the dessert from an earlier visit to Foundation.

I’ve had that a few times and its always great. I’ve even made a special (although short, I live 5 minutes away) trip just to get that. It is FANTASTIC! Just thinking about it makes me want to drive over right now, I may have to stop by for lunch.

Brunch at Foundation Social Eatery is a real treat. I hope  you take my advice and come for a visit.
