The Cowfish Atlanta unites sushi and burgers at Perimeter Mall and everybody WINS! The Cowfish Atlanta Sushi Burger Bar offers great traditional style sushi rolls like the ones pictured below as well as a variety of burgers, then smashes them together into a wonderful explosion of flavors.
Thanks so much to The Cowfish Atlanta for providing this complimentary meal, it was a wonderful date night for my husband and I! All opinions are my own
Everything I tasted on my visit to The Cowfish was fresh and high quality. Slices of sashimi may be a bit thicker than you would normally find in a sushi bar but I found the slightly thicker fish slices really allowed the buttery texture of the fish to shine through.
The Cowfish can be a loud restaurant which adds to the party atmosphere, you may even hear the occasional gong to celebrate a birthday. The interior is colorful with some fun art pieces around the restaurant. Behind the bar there’s even a huge aquarium with an ACTUAL COWFISH in it!
Cocktails pictured below, left to right: Snake in the Grass- Vodka, Jalapeno, lemongrass, lime, ginger beer. The Cucumber Mint-ini (comes with a little sushi in it) – Tanquery Ten, mint, fresh lime juice. Skinny Gonzales- Tequila, Grand Marnier raspberry/peach, pomegranate, lime. Itsy Bitsy Tini-Weenie Fresh Berry Great Martini- Smirnoff Pomegranate. Raspberry Vodka, champagne, agave, fresh raspberries, fresh lime juice
Pictured below is the delicious, SHOW STOPPING Chef’s Deluxe 15 piece Sashimi Mix with lobster salad, tuna, salmon, sweet shrimp, octopus, eel, yellowtail and seasonal whitefish all served over ice. Everything in this dish was fresh and gorgeous.
They get very creative with with their delicious burgers at The Cowfish Atlanta. They have a Jalapeno Popper Show Stopper burger that incorperates jalapenos in five different ways. Jalapeno bacon, jalapeno cream cheese, jalapeno citrus aioli, fresh sliced jalapeno and fried jalapeno. There’s the Mediterranean Lamb Burger with tzatziki and fried feta cheese. Finally, my favorite burger of the bunch (and you know how I feel about ordering burgers when I go out to eat) the Dynamic Duo which is a half pound beef burger topped with braised short rib, provolone cheese, roasted garlic and tomato onion jam.
Then we get to the burger/sushi mashup – burgushi. If you’re looking for some fun new sushi tastes then this is the place for you.
Below is the All American Bacon Double CHEESEBURGOOSHI! Angus beef, yellow and white cheddar, BACON, red onion, wrapped in soy paper and potato strings, FRIED and topped with ketchup, mustard pickles and tomato. Yeah, that’s a mouthful and it was mighty tasty.
The Deliverance roll- Southern Style Bar-B-Q-Shi- Pulled pork, caramelized onion, BBQ sauce, wrapped in soy paper and potato strings then fried and topped with a whole mess of potato strings, bacon coleslaw and chives.
Pictured below: Doug’s Fliet Roll- Avocado, kani, cream cheese inside, topped with filet mignon, spicy mayo, scallions and madago
The desserts did not disappoint! We tried the Fresh Berry Tall Cake- a moist lemon pound cake, vanilla ice cream and raspberry sauce. I asked for a sample of the Apple Pie Wontons for my husband. He is a huge fan of all apple desserts, so when I saw this on the menu I just had to order it for him. We also sampled THE MOUSSE IS LOOSE- layers of fudge brownies, chocolate mousse and vanilla mousse.
Check out The Cowfish Atlanta for great food, fantastic drinks and a good time. I’ve only shown you a small sample of the menu, check out the Cowfish’s website for more details and locations. I’ll definitely be back with my kids, I think they’d love The Cowfish.
