How to make Scones | 4 Ingredient Berries and Cream Scones

Ingredients
  

  • 2 and 1/2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated white sugar plus 2 tablespoons for topping you can reduce the sugar to 1/3 of a cup if you like your scones less sweet
  • 1 cup mixed dried berries,
  • 1 and 1/2 cups heavy cream plus 2 tablespoons for topping

Method
 

  1. pre heat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Sift flour and sugar together
  3. toss in dried berries
  4. stir in cream
  5. Form the dough into a ball
  6. Divide the dough into 2 disks each about 5 inches in diameter
  7. cut each dough disk into 6 triangles
  8. Place the scones on a parchment lined sheet pan
  9. Brush each scone with heavy cream and sprinkle each with sugar
  10. Bake the scones for 12 -15 minutes rotating the pan halfway through baking
