Oven BBQ Ribs with BLACKBERRY BOURBON BBQ SAUCE

Ingredients
  

  • 1 rack of ribs any kind of ribs will work but spare ribs will take about 20 minutes longer
  • RIB SEASONING RECIPE BELOW
  • 1 tablespoon of kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 -1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of granulated garlic or garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cumin
  • SAUCE RECIPE BELOW
  • 1/2 cup of blackberry jam
  • 1/3 cup of ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup of bourbon
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of powdered ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon of granulated garlic or garlic powder

Instructions
 

  • Peel the membrane from the back of the rack of ribs. Season the ribs with salt, pepper, Cayenne, cinnamon, garlic powder, and cumin.
  • Wrap the ribs in foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes
  • Let the ribs cool wrapped in the foil for 30 minutes
  • While the ribs are cooking make the thoughts. Stir together the blackberry jam, catch up, lime juice, bourbon, Brown sugar. ginger, and garlic powder
  • Simmer over medium heat for about 15 minutes stirring occasionally so it doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan.
  • When the ribs are done place them on a sheet pan with a clean piece of foil. Brush both sides with sauce and broil the ribs for a minute or 2. Watch it closely so it doesn't burn.
