THE BATTERY ATLANTA THE MIXED USED DEVELOPMENT AT THE ATLANTA BRAVE’S NEW STADIUM SUNTRUST PARK WILL BE HOME TO SOME HEAVY HITTERS OF THE RESTAURANT WORLD…warning, this post may contain many, MANY bad baseball puns
SunTrust park is going up just outside the perimeter and out of what is now just mounds of Georgia red clay will soon pop up a mixed use development The Battery Atlanta anchored by restaurants of some of the best chefs in the country. You may even be able to catch a foul ball while feasting on chicken fajita nachos at Chef Ford Fry’s Superica.
TAKE A VIDEO TOUR OF A RENDERING OF THE BATTERY HERE
The name of this new development refers to a baseball term for the pitching crew of a team. Expect The Battery to open in 2017, to view high resolution renderings of the project visit The Battery Atlanta’s website here
Linton Hopkins (of Holeman and Finch among many other restaurants) will open a yet to be named steakhouse serving beef from farmers like Will Harris of White Oak Pastures and seasoning it with black pepper sourced from Cambodia.
Chef Hopkins was generous enough to share some of this special black pepper with those of us in attendance. Chef Hopkins is currently developing a new steakhouse burger for this concept- I can’t wait to get my mitts on it, I’ll be sure to clean my plate.
Antico Pizza‘s Giovanni Di Palma is a base scene stealer for sure, just click on the video below to hear his proposal to Linton Hopkins. There will be an outpost of Antico Pizza in The Battery Atlanta

The Fox Brothers of Fox Bros. BBQ will open Tomahawk Taproom featuring some of your favorites like their delicious smoky wings.
Cru Wine Bar promises to bring fun to your wine experience and offer hundreds of bottles from around the world.
Expect to see many more restaurants in The Battery Atlanta as well as a mix of housing options, office buildings (Comcast will have a regional office here) and retail shops.
