Culinary Fight Club, the monthly traveling Battle of the CHEFS brought the Taste Bud Challenge to Roswell for some Georgia On My Mind Barbecue and let me tell you, that barbecue was more than on my mind, it was in my belly!
Three chefs competed to see whose barbecue was the best using East Wave Fusion’s “The Taste of Haute Cuisine” sauces.
Chef Tina Cannon (The Pit Crew BBQ Team) pulled out ALL the stops with her creative dish “Stuffed Pork Loin with Sweet potato Coleslaw and Crispy Pork Belly”. You already know how much I love pork belly (the cut of pork used for bacon) and sweet potatoes so I was very happy when I saw her creations.
Chef Jerome “JC” Carson (from Gate Gourmet) made an incredible dish of “Shaved Ribs with Carrots and Creamy Coleslaw”. His ribs were darn near perfect, tender and delicious-shaved off the bone for easy eating.
Chef Jason Connolly (from SweetWater Barbecue) fired up some incredibly tender and juicy BBQ Chicken with mango Chutney and Grilled Potatoes.
All great entries but there can only be one winner and that winner was….DRUM ROLL PLEASE…Chef JEROME CARSON.
Chef JC, crowned both the crowd favorite (myself included) and the Judges choice was awarded the “Golden Ticket” to compete in the World Food Championship in Kissimmee, Florida during the first week of November 2015.
