Dinner doesn’t get much easier than Sheet Pan Ribs with Maple and Cayenne
just place a rack of ribs on a sheet pan surrounded by the vegetables. Toss the ribs in some warm spices like cinnamon, smoked paprika, and cayenne. Cover and bake then uncover and drizzle the whole thing with maple syrup. Bake a little more then baste it with the pan juices and broil to brown. THAT’S IT! Life doesn’t get much easier than that.
I used St. Louis style ribs, but baby back ribs would work fine as well. Want to know the difference between the types of ribs? Check out this brief video below
Bake the ribs on a sheet pan covered with to foil trap the steam. This cooks the ribs and vegetables more quickly, keeping everything moist.
You can vary the spices to suit your family’s tastes, try sage and thyme for a more herbaceous flavor. If you aren’t a fan of maple syrup, try honey instead. You can even switch up the vegetables. Try carrots and parsnips or acorn squash.
Line the pan with foil for easy cleanup if you like. That will save you a headache for sure. Sheet Pan Ribs with Maple and Cayenne is a fantastic recipe that’s great any time of year but the flavors of maple and sweet potatoes remind me of fall. Make this on a weeknight or a holiday dinner, it’s a really versatile recipe!
Baste the ribs and vegetables with pan juices and broil for a minute or two for a golden brown glaze.
