Pigs in a blanket- Smoked sausage, puff pastry, honey mustard

I’m still craving the Pigs in a Blanket at Butcher and Brew in Alpharetta.  The pastry was so crispy, buttery, flaky it was just heavenly. The smoked sausage was zesty with just the right amount of spice, my mouth is watering right now as I think about it. I could order a table full of their delicious pigs in a blanket and I would be a happy girl, but if I did that I would miss out on all the other wonderful dishes they have to offer.

I’d like to thank Butcher and Brew for treating us to this delicious meal (all opinions are my own) that we enjoyed after a morning of luxurious spa treatments at L’Occitane in Avalon. Chef David does a wonderful job with all the housemade treats this restaurant serves.

Fried cauliflower, blue cheese, chicharones and Korean barbecue sauce

We actually started the meal with popcorn for the table before the pigs in blanket and some tasty buffalo style fried cauliflower were brought out.

Tropical Bowl and Paleo Bowl

After that we moved on to the “Bowls” section of the menu. Our group shared the “Tropical Bowl” loaded with pearl couscous, mango, black beans, baby kale and feta cheese. We also sampled the “Paleo Bowl” with perfectly cooked diced roasted sweet potato, spinach, peppers hard boiled egg, mushrooms and more. There are four bowls to choose from at this time and they are all delicious and affordable choices.

The Adrian – roast pork, garlic broccolini, sharp cheddar with a side of mac and cheese

We tried a few of the sandwiches and a burger at Butcher and Brew and all were delicious but the standout for me was the “Adian” stuffed with tender and juicy roast pork, garlic broccolini and creamy dijonaise.
