Day of pampering with Atlanta Food Bloggers’ Society
…because you really have to treat yourself once in a while. Cooking all day can be exhausting so my friends at the Atlanta Food Bloggers’ Society treated ourselves to a fantastic day of pampering in Awesome Alpharetta, GA. This entire amazing day was organized by Chef Melissa of The Front Porch Gourmet and I can’t thank her enough!
Our first stop was L’Occitane, a high-end Boutique filled with personal care items, all the creams lotions potions and such that you could possibly dream of. I’ve walked past this shop many times and never stopped in thinking it was too expensive and too “chi-chi” for me but I was so wrong. The staff at L’Occitane is wonderfully welcoming. For our party we had the opportunity to have have hand massages with a variety different scented scrubs and creams.

My hands get extraordinarily dry from being in water all the time. Washing dishes and washing my hands after touching raw foods really has taken a toll on my skin. After scrubbing away the dead skin, my masseuse rubbed in some cuticle oil, I think I could hear my nail beds breathe a sigh of relief. She then massage my hands with the most luxurious rich hand cream made especially for dry skin and full of shea butter. I loved it so much that I bought a kit containing all of those products to bring home with me.
A purchase was not required for attending the party but I decided to treat myself….I’m worth it.
Before and after my hand massage I sipped mimosas with my food blogging buddies and chatted over tasty pastries. The next pampering experience was the neck and shoulder massage which was equally as fabulous. I’m surprised that I didn’t fall asleep during it.
Mini facials are also offered however I did not want to remove the two inches of makeup that I was wearing. I’ll definitely try a mini facial on my next visit. …and there will DEFINITELY be a next visit.

You can host a group of friends for a lovely pampering party at L’Occitane as well. Just give you a local store a call, they would be happy to treat you and your friends as wonderfully as they treated us.
But the party didn’t stop there. Our group broke up into two smaller groups and we headed out to brunch at two lovely restaurants that were right next door to each other. I visited Butcher & Brew with four of my food blogger friends while the other group visited South of Main.
