Chef Wells, his business partner and their team will be serving up Pork and Chicken Banh Mi’s, Bubble Teas, Cheeseburger Eggrolls, Garlic Green Beans…I’m getting hungry just thinking about this menu. I had the good fortune to be personally invited by chef Jenard himself to partake in a preview tasting of the menu.

A lucky few were presented Oolong Bubble Tea with tapioca pearls, the sweetness level can be adjusted, just let your server know how you would like it, I like mine just slightly sweet.

The preview started with a sampling of East Wave Asian Fusion’s plump and juicy Signature Hot Wings, a bowl of spicy ( but not too spicy) Seafood Gumbo, Garlic Green Beans, Garlic Noodles, 5 Spiced Baby Back Pork Ribs and Street Corn. These offerings worked really well together, Chef Jenard does a great job of blending and fusing foods of several different cultures.

We had Mama’s Eggrolls (made from a 20 year old handed down recipe)  which were filled with pork and spices and were crispy, tasty and not at all greasy. I guess Mama really knows what she’s doing. And then there’s the Lobster Roll with CANDIED BACON! I mean REALLY, this was delicious.

We ended with some delicious Green Tea Cheesecake with a strawberry swirl. It was creamy with a delicate flavor, the strawberry swirl adds a touch of fruity brightness.

I ordered a Thai Iced Coffee to go and I’m so glad I did. I ended up stuck in traffic on my way back home. I didn’t mind at all because I had that cold, sweet, creamy coffee to keep me company. Chef Jenard is so committed to the quality of his iced coffee that he and his team actually bought a coffee farm.

Be sure to visit East Wave Asian Fusion and get some of this good food. Don’t forget to tell them Sweet Savant sent ya!
